Getting to Old Town

Every tour starts in Old Town San Diego, the historic neighborhood just north of Downtown. It is a short ride from almost anywhere visitors stay: Downtown, the Gaslamp, Little Italy, Mission Valley, Pacific Beach, Coronado and La Jolla. Here is how to get there, how long it takes and where to park.

Taking the Trolley or train

Parking in Old Town

Old Town has street parking and several public lots near Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Spaces fill up fast on weekends and around lunch, so give yourself an extra 15 minutes if you drive, and check posted signs for time limits and fees. If you are joining the tour, leave the car and take a rideshare or the Trolley instead.
