about Tequila Tour

Meet your illustrious host, Nate, who has been in San Diego for over 20 years, has vast knowledge of the area, and the ever evolving world of Tequila.

We all have our favorite tequila brands but did you know that some of the top selling, more expensive brands are nothing more than additives. After a trip to Mexico a few years back, I was amazed at the centuries and generations of agave farming, the amount of time just waiting for the agave plant to mature, and the overall process from uprooting the agave all the way down to bottling, labelling, and corking of the finished product.

Come find your favorite tequila, learn about the art of producing the best tasting tequila, and how the barreling yields the fine vanilla and caramel notes of your aged tequilas, as opposed to additives.

  • Guests are encouraged to order additional drink, food or souvenirs if desired separately from the tour cost.
  • Each guest will receive their very own complimentary Professional Google Photos link to relive their San Diego Tequila Tour for a lifetime!
  • Visit Instagram to view the gallery of some the past birthdays, bachelorette/bachelor parties, special occasions, and corporate events.

The group will meet in Old Town San Diego at Rockin’ Baja Lobster, a notoriously fun Mexican restaurant! We’ll sip our first tequila shot while enjoying chips and a full salsa bar!

The tour then takes us on a beautiful scenic walk. Guests’ are encouraged to stop at some of he many store’s to purchase souvenirs along the way.

Our next stop is high on the hillside, Old Town Tequila Factory, where we sample another shot of tequila AND enjoy a delicious fish taco on the rooftop patio with a beautiful scenic view that overlooks Downtown San Diego and the San Diego Harbor that gives that perfect backdrop for a selfie!

As the tour continues, we learn about the Whaley House, early California, grave sites, historical markers, and other Old Town facts as we pass them by on our way to our final stop.

Saving the best for last, the restaurant, bar and tequila museum El Agave. This is a top shelf tequileria and carries over 2,000 tequilas. Here, each guest is treated to YOUR OWN PERSONAL FLIGHT of tequila that is highly rated by the bar vendors while enjoying the fine dining establishment ending our tour!!
