Cookie Policy
Effective Date: October 18, 2026 | Last Updated: October 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how San Diego Tequila Tour ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on sandiegotequilatour.com (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, tags, and local storage, which we refer to collectively as "cookies" in this Policy. First-party cookies are set by us. Third-party cookies are set by our partners. Cookies may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or are deleted).
How We Use Cookies
| Category | Purpose | Examples on this Site |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Enable core functionality such as security, page delivery, form submission, spam protection, and saving your cookie choices. Cannot be switched off. | WordPress session and security tokens, Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection on forms), cookie-consent preference cookie |
| Booking, Cart & Checkout | Remember the tour, gift card, or merchandise in your cart, keep your checkout progress, and process payment securely. | WooCommerce cart and session cookies, Stripe payment and fraud-prevention cookies |
| Performance / Analytics | Collect aggregated information about how visitors use the Site so we can measure and improve performance. | Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) |
| Functional | Remember choices you make and display embedded content to provide enhanced features. | Saved preferences, Trustindex Google reviews widget, embedded maps and video |
| Affiliate / Referral | Record which affiliate partner referred you so they can be credited for your booking. | AffiliateWP referral and visit cookies |
| Advertising / Targeting | Build a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on and off the Site; measure ad performance. | Meta (Facebook) Pixel |
Our booking and checkout pages use cart cookies to hold your reservation while you complete your purchase. Where you have not opted out, advertising pixels may use the tours and pages you view to show you relevant ads on other sites. Several states treat this kind of cross-context advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy for your opt-out rights. Embedded third-party tools such as review widgets, maps, and payment forms may set their own cookies once they load, governed by those providers' own policies.
Your Choices & How to Manage Cookies
- Cookie banner / preferences. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie consent banner shown on the Site, and change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link it provides.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions, including the booking cart.
- Opt-out signals. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law.
- Analytics opt-out. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Advertising opt-out. You can manage interest-based advertising through the DAA and NAI opt-out tools, and through your Meta ad preferences.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT, the Site may not respond to DNT signals; however, we honor the Global Privacy Control as described above.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. We will revise the "Last Updated" date when we do.
